adiCET Welcomes Students from the “Temasek Foundation Specialists Community Action and Leadership Exchange (TF-SCALE) Programme 2024”

Today (September 16, 2025), the Asian Development Institute for Community Economy and Technology (adiCET) at Chiang Mai Rajabhat University warmly welcomed a delegation of 20 faculty members and students from Temasek Polytechnic (PT) in Singapore, along with 20 students from Chiang Mai Rajabhat University, totaling 40 participants. The visit aimed to provide participating students with a hands-on workshop on the topic “Smart Village for Carbon Neutrality,” held at Ban Nok Conference Room at the Maerim Campus of adiCET.

Assistant Professor Dr. Worajit Setthapun delivered a lecture on various low-carbon technologies and systems implemented in the Chiang Mai World Green City. Following the lecture, faculty members and staff led the students on a field visit to key learning bases, including solar-powered electricity generation, plastic-based construction materials for road building, energy-efficient buildings, and Smart Home technologies.
After learning about energy and low-carbon technologies, the students were divided into groups to participate in brainstorming activities, focusing on developing Smart Homes that emphasize principles such as Smart, Low Carbon, Net Zero, Sustainability, Health & Wellness, and Security. The students are expected to apply the knowledge gained to further enhance the management and effective use of low-carbon technologies in the future.
