Chiang Mai World Green City

Chiang Mai World Green City and Smart Community Asian Development College for Community Economy and Technology (adiCET), Chiang Mai Rajabhat University aimed to be the green institution to facilitate the sustainable development of the local community. adiCET established the Chiang Mai World Green City (CMGC) as the living laboratory for green technologies to showcase real applications for sustainable living. CMGC is developed from over 60 sustainable energy research and development projects. CMGC covers about 20 rai and comprised of 3 distinct zones. Zone A is the Smart Community where students and staff lived and worked in a 100% renewable energy based community with AC/DC Smart Grid. Smart Community also focused on sustainability in 5 areas: Energy, Food, Residential, Economics and Environment. Zone B is the green college and has classroom and seminar halls. Zone C is the Green Technology Exhibition Center.

CMGC covers an area of approximately 20 rai and consists of three distinct zones:

A smart community area where students and staff live and work, utilizing 100% renewable energy through an AC/DC Smart Grid system. It emphasizes sustainability in five areas: energy, food, housing, economy, and environment.

A green college area featuring classrooms and seminar rooms, including learning buildings, offices, and spaces dedicated to green technology and sustainable development education.

A center for showcasing green technologies, demonstrating innovations and sustainable development technologies, including an electric vehicle park, DC homes, and the Bio-Energy Cycle (BEC) Center.
